The growing popularity of shaving pubic hair is leading to more visits to the emergency room. A new study found that many people who shave their pubic hair end up cutting themselves doing it. The University of California, San Francisco did a survey of over 7,500 adults, and nearly 67% of men and 85% of women said they groom their pubic hair.
Nearly 26% said they had injured themselves in the process, with over one-percent requiring medical attention. The most common injury from public grooming was cuts, followed by burns, and then rashes. The report is published in the journal "JAMA Dermatology."
