Chris Simms Releases His Final 2024 NFL Mock Draft

Watch NBC NFL analyst Chris Simms reveal his final mock draft of the off-season with the 2024 NFL Draft finally embarking Thursday night.

Simms’ mock has the first two picks carrying out the way most mocks have in recent weeks with USC quarterback Caleb Williams going no. 1 to the Bears, and LSU QB Jayden Daniels going no. 2 to the Commanders.

The third pick is the first shocker of the Draft, with Simms predicting the Vikings ship their no. 11 and no. 23 picks to the Patriots in return for the no. 3 pick to draft Michigan QB J.J. McCarthy.

At four, Simms has the Cardinals taking Ohio State wideout Marvin Harrison, Jr. despite Simms slotting Harrison Jr. as the third best wide receiver in the Draft behind the star-studded LSU duo of Malik Nabers [Giants], and Brian Thomas, Jr. [Bills].

Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt is the pick at five to the Chargers, followed by Nabers to the Giants at no. 6, Alabama left tackle JC Latham to the Titans at no. 7, Alabama outside linebacker Dallas Turner to the Falcons at no. 8, UCLA defensive end Laiatu Latu at no. 9 to the Bears, and Washington guard Troy Fautanu to the Jets to round out the top 10.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of Simms’ mock has North Carolina QB Drake Maye, previously believed to be the clear no. 2 overall pick, falling all the way to no. 11 to the Patriots, who already traded the no. 3 pick with the Vikings.

Then comes the run on Pac-12 QBs with Oregon’s Bo Nix going no. 12 to the Broncos, and Michael Penix Jr. Heading to the Raiders at no. 13.

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers went no. 15 to the Indianapolis Colts.

Simms’ most notable plummet was Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze dropping out of the top 10 all the way down to 18, where the Cincinnati Bengals look to potentially fill the void of absentee WR2 Tee Higgins.
