Summer is finally here, and as the weather continues to warm and the daylight stretches even later, it's the perfect season to spend quality time soaking in the sun outside with loved ones. And what better way to do that than with a picnic?

LoveFood searched around the country for the "most scenic picnic spots" in every state, gorgeous destinations to lay out a blanket, crack open a basket full of your favorite summertime treats, and enjoy a meal with friends and family.

According to the site, two places in Georgia will serve as the perfect backdrop for a memorable picnic: Forsyth Park in Savannah and Tybee Beach on Tybee Island, just a short drive away.

Here's what the site had to say about these beautiful Peach State spots:

"Historical Savannah is brimming with distinctive architecture and unique places to stop and take it all in. At Forsyth Park, the Parisian-inspired fountain is certainly an attractive backdrop for a picnic — as well as for many marriage proposals. Sprawling lawns give you options for spreading out a blanket and sitting in either the sun or the shade, and tree-lined paths make for wonderful walks through the park's 30 acres."
"Known as 'Savannah's Beach' — and just a short, scenic drive from that moss-and-mystery draped city — this barrier island has a certain Southern charm all of its own. The broad sandy stretch is the highlight, dominated by a long fishing pier that has picnic tables under a pavilion. You'll also find wooden swing benches on the beach, or you can just lay a blanket on the sand."
