Colin Cowherd: âAaron Rodgers mentioned he was â90% retiredâ when he went into the retreat, came out and said he would be a Jet. If you were 90% anything, that is what you're eventually going to do really quickly, so I donât assume heâs going to play long-term for the Jets. Had he retired what would his legacy be? I think, much like this personality, it would be complicated. Efficiency: A+, arm: excellent, but underachieving in the playoffs, and difficult, aloof, and prickly. Thatâs fair and an incredibly fair thing to say. Bradyâs resume is very cleanâ the âGOATâ in New England, Super Bowl in Tampa, huge deal at FOX Sports. Peyton Manning: clean, Super Bowl in Indy, iconic Super Bowl in Denver, massive success, lots of fun off the field. Aaron reminds me a lot of Big Ben. We donât talk Big Ben since he left, a lot of it is he own doing. Think about Big Ben and Aaron Rodgers and the similarities. Youâre left with holes and underachievement, and lots of drama. What are the three things they have in common? Both are only semi-committed in the off-season. There were jokes about Big Ben, and how he disappeared in the offseason. Aaron Rodgers now disappears in the offseason. Both struggled with young teammatesâ Aaron this year for example, and Big Ben his entire career. Big Ben and Aaron, in off-seasons, in life, you can see them retiring, and playing golf with a handful of close friends and thatâs it. His legacy is complicated much like Aaron Rodgersâ is complicated. First ballot Hall of Famer, excellent arm, unique style, terrific career, but prickly, can be difficult to coach, demanded transparency, yet gave teammates, coaches, and the Packers very little of it.â (Full Segment Above)
