The Las Vegas Raiders acquired QB Geno Smith from the Seahawks and from everything DP has heard, he’ll be getting a new contract from his new team, and it’s going to cost the Raiders plenty. His new paycheck will probably make Sam Darnold look like a bargain but it’s should be well worth the price for some consistency at the position.
Dan Patrick: “I was told this yesterday, that Geno Smith going to the Raiders; Geno Smith is going to get a new contract or at least an extension where Geno Smith might be making at least $45M. So while we look at this where the Raiders did well, they got Geno Smith, they got some stability; it’s going to cost them.”
