Colin is joined by college football guru Josh Pate to talk all things College Football Playoff.

They start with why the first round of the playoff isn’t as great as advertised and lends itself to massive mismatches and blowouts. Colin argues that the power schools are more than happy to play the weaker schools early in the season and shouldn’t complain when you face them in the playoff (3:30). 

They move to the announcement that the USC/Notre Dame series is being put on hold after ND inked a home and away deal with BYU and Colin argues Notre Dame should have offered more wiggle room to USC in order to maintain a respectably challenging schedule (9:30).

They preview Miami at Ohio State and Colin says he’d take Ohio State by a touchdown & Josh argues that Miami will have the advantage in the trenches and has more defensive talent than top SEC & Big Ten teams (14:45). 

They move to Oregon vs Texas Tech and Josh argues that TT has more than a realistic shot at beating the Ducks, but that their lack of experience playing outside the Big 12 could hurt them (24:00). 

They discuss the enigma that is Alabama football and handicap their chances against #1 Indiana (27:00), and preview Georgia’s bout with Ole Miss (31:15).
