Clay Helton Brings a Drama-Free Environment to USC

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon "get it" if USC keeps Clay Helton despite his faults. New leadership at USC would get used to their roles for a year and then be more comfortable making heading up a coaching search. Also, the fact that Clay Helton brings no drama to USC, a school that has way too much of it on many flanks, would be a huge check-mark in deciding to keep him for another season.
